Happy Christmas Eve

from Charleston, South Carolina (for those of you snowbound..notice no snow, no ice, heck it's in the 70's again today..woohooo..GO OUTSIDE KIDS...sorry that was me telling the kids...

anywho..My sister and her man brought the kids to the Holiday Festival of Lights in James Island last night and they got to see Santa..(who upset Connor because Connor couldn't bring him home..yes I need something else in this house..2 dogs, 2 cats, 4 kids..~~did I say 4...wait a minute I seem to have another one..no I'm not preggers I think my nephew moved in when i wasn't looking..~~ and a Santa..)..



Anywho..back again Friday and a Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night.

Ahh here it is Christmas time at La Casa Del Moore...and the kids are hellions sweet lil angels. It's Day one of Winter Break or as I like to call it.."the week of hell"..you may think these hellions angels are all sugar and spice blah blah blah..but I know the truth....

Actually today wasn't that bad...We got up around 7 a.m. (ok noonish) and proceded to clean sit on our asses and do nothing all day until Connor took it upon himself to clean the stove...(have to love my little clean freak) then they DEMANDED I cook dinner..hahahah so I threw some chicken nuggets in the oven and said..done..minions...done...

Now if I have time (can remember) tommorrow I'm going to post my Christmas letter to all of you that I didn't send out Christmas cards to this year and take a pic of me and the minions...you know if they haven't duct taped me to anything and set the house on fire..

So, I've decided that it's Thankful week at Casa del I'vegonecrazy...

First up is Steven...I am thankful for Steven because he is who he is. He saved me..seriously..I was leading a messed up life when he decided that I was no longer 'best friend' material...more like 'wife' material. He moved me and Kat from Charleston to Oklahoma. He got me out of the life I was leading and into a better one..hence becoming the beautiful person I am today...one who has a DEGREE hahaha...

Steven is currently serving in who the hell knows where, but he's safe..as a matter of fact he's meeting celebs..

Oh lordy, lordy I'm losing my ever-lovin mind.

Today I came in from taking Kat to the bus-stop and 'thought' I smelled cologne, a man's cologne..so what do I do?? I dialed 9-1 on my phone and held it (you know so i could dial the other one if I needed to) while I checked my house out to see if there was someone here...

Walk upstairs..don't smell it..

Walk downstairs..still smell it.

Walk upstairs again..don't smell it..

Downstairs still smell it..can't figure out where it's coming from...the dog meanwhile is looking at me like I've lost my everloving mind..(I have)..

About 3 minutes later it occurs to me..duh..it's the plug in...

Scared the hell out of myself for nothing..SHIT.

Kat's chorus had their first concert tonight..They did a melody of songs from Mama Mia...it was really good and nice...long though...

Whew what a week...

Anywho's on Monday my dogs ran off (both of them. First of all I have a full blooded husky who's pure white and a heavy footed heifer...I mean Jack Russell Terrier. I couldn't find them anywhere...well I thought OK if noone picks them up and decides to keep them then they'll come home..No come home on Monday, the kids were devasted. I kept getting up and checking the door ALL night.

Tuesday they still didn't come home and I started to look for bodies on the side of the road. Tuesday night we got a phone call that a couple about a mile or so away had them. Picked them up and she even said that we were lucky she picked them up because someone else may have tried to keep them because they were so sweet and beautiful...Kids are Happy, I am Happy, Hubby is Happy. Worst week ever turned to Best Week Ever.

Now we have to bathe them ....good luck us..

So, I've got a huge spot of RED food dye on my carpet (carpet in the house i'm renting...) anyone know how to get it out..or am I just SOL and have to buy a new room of carpet...

Bad Mommy day..

I was a bad bad mommy today.

I took the kids out of school early and took advantage of the beautiful day and took them to the beach!!! I figured it was probably one of the last nice days we were going to have this season..so I took advantage of it..Call it a MENTAL HEALTH DAY.

My new house...

Here's my new house for those who care..it's so pretty and Big. I haven't lived in such a nice house since FOREVER... Only problem is the county it's in. We will HAVE to move next year before Katherine starts High School (OMG am I that old???)





And the kids in the 'pool'. This is their Favorite part of the house. Should be mine too with a good glass of wine, but I haven't gotten to get in it yet as I've been LAZY. Heck, according to some I "should" be totally unpacked but gah...why unpack until I need the item..or I might have to get off of my Lazy Bottom.

Maybe tommorrow I'll post pics of the dining room (haha it's the only 'clean' room here.)

Weekend Update

Kat is staying with ma and pa so she can go to a different counties school..(the school for this county is AWFUL...I'm afraid to send her to it..)

The kids and Cats New TOY

So, I found myself in a precarious position the other night (hey Steven is deployed for a year don't judge!!) and found myself in one of those stores where I saw the cutest durn vibrator you EVER saw in your life. It was called a mini mini rabbit..Well, I just had to have it...not for me mind you, because I really didn't think it would do the job, but I thought it would be the greatest toy for the cats...and buddy it is.

You should see the when you put him on the hardwood floor and he hops across the floor and the cat (okay maybe just Buster as Boy Boy more looks at you like a fool and you bothered his nap).

Of course when you have a cat toy, it automatically becomes a kids toy, They seem to love it....they love to put it on the floor and turn it on and make it hop everywhere, they put it in the car and put it behind my back in the seat and laugh...and put it in the middle section near my elbow and think that's funny too.

Hey, it was a cheap fun toy...what can we say and ohhh so cute....

Well Hello...

Back by popular demand (thanks Stacy I missed you too..and honey I always miss you and those dreams I've been having wooo..let me tell you...OH MY)..anyway. I made it back to the states and feel 110% better lately. I've come to the conclusion I am a beach girl I NEED TO BE NEAR THE BEACH (or at least within 30 miles.). Other than having to deal with my CRAZY family..(and they are CRAZY) things are good.

OK so here's what's happened since I've gotten home..

1) Kat (13 year old) got her first period...and that really helped her attitude 300%..she is totally a different child. Before this she was a walking bag of hormones...

2) I rented a beautiful house..I move in Sept. 15.. I'll post pics when I move in and get my stuff in.

3) Kids started school..YAY!!! Quiet is not overrated.

4) I made Amanda's boyfriend cry...(might tell you about that tommorrow.) don't want to ruin your opinion that I'm all sweet and innocent and all...ya know..

Sick

I am miserable...utterly miserable with a 'summer cold' ...who knew..they knock you down worse than a winter cold. I think because it's so nice outside..(and yes it's nice here in Germany right now...I know..I'm surprised too..let's hope nice holds out until Friday when we go to Phantasialand where I spend way too much too get in..think along the lines of Disney World...and then Steven bitches about it (Don't lie Steven you know you will...)

I really really (have I mentioned really yet) don't want to go, but the oldest is going the youngest want to go and I kind of thought it would be funner to go with my troop however my troop isn't going now, it's only a couple of us..and my cheap gene has kicked in. I know I have a lot to pay for since I leave here July 1...



I think I need a drink and it's only 8 am..is that too early for wine?? My friend Jennifer would say no...so I say no..except I shipped all the good wine..shit..

Steve leaves soon for his deployment of a year, which in all actuality turns out to be 430 days when you add in the pre-training, etc that goes on. In Becky's mind he's going to the Caribbean...

I have an AWFUL class this semester...it's a history of women in the arts class...I really thought I would enjoy it, and I took it because it is out of my realm and was something I was interested in, however the teacher is a BITCH...

***OHHHH Steve bought me a new car, I get to pick it up when I go to Charleston...BRAND FLIPPIN SPANKING NEW...I've never had a BRAND NEW CAR that I get to put one of the first (well the first 10) miles on it...I'm excited...well there is a backstory to that one, but hey another day..I've already bored you enough for a Monday--or Tuesday...whatever.

So, anywhere where was I, oh yes..my bad motherness..drinking wine at 8 am??? --well..it's 5'0 clock somewhere..get off my back..seriously

Yesterday...we had pre-op for Connor and we go to the German hospital..I thought we'd be in/out in an hour..didn't make contingency plans for the kids...and 5 flippin hours later I was calling everyone we knew to find someone to pick up Lizzie from school and keep her until we got home. Well, the person we got misunderstood and thought we meant today and let her walk home with the neighbors child who thank goodness let her stay and play for a good Hour and a HALF..MEANWHILE the 13 YEAR old was missing..(OK with her friend but still I had ASKED her nicely to be home..and the kicker her (ok kicker 1) I PAY her every time she babysits her brother and/or sister)

Kicker 2: I had to cancel the surgery because he was running a fever last night...

Kicker 3: He is FINE today.
