So my friends (all two of you) we are having some EVIL computer problems this week...

1) Steven's whole flippin hard drive crashed!!! We kept getting an 'can't find operating system' message on his computer...bahhhhhhh -- What'll be funny is he has a class in Ramstein the week after next and will have to take my PRETTY pink computer with him to the class...

2) My vonage router crashed which led to my wireless router crashing...again bahhhhh

3) I had to reset up the wireless router...me?? that sucks the big one..I hate dealing with computers..thank goodness a friend has offered to come help me.

DAMN EVIL COMPUTERS!!!

I am NOT electrically inclined..I don't want to be electrically inclined...I want a man to do it for me damnit...:D

Happy Birthday Baby Girl

Kat turns 13 Today!!!! 13 years old...Wow...I can't believe it..I'm the mother of a teenager.

I still remember the day she was born. It was superbowl sunday 1995..I don't remember who was playing except the 49'ers. She came into this world a screaming and proceeded to pee and poo on the doctor. He said.."Yep this one has a temper" and put her down for a bit.

She's a beautiful soul. Loves to read and play games and is one of the most giving children I know. She will buy her brother and sister something from her money any time they want. She has a great disposition and is a sweet sweet person.

Even though we have some days, she promptly makes up for it with her 'I'm sorry' hug.

Happy Birthday Baby Girl.

Should I be worried???

So, last night I had a wee bit of insomnia, woke up at 3:30 to go to the restroom (TMI) and couldn't get back to sleep at all...so anyhooo' around 5:00 I could smell coffee...(and it smelled GOOD) now, I haven't made coffee in my house in over a month..so it wasn't coming from here, and our walls aren't THAT thin...so the only thing I can come up with are:

1) Dear Hubs and/or the cat are now farting in coffee smells...

2) My new *spideysense* has kicked in...

3) or I have a new migraine symptom --

A Few Thoughts

Well, I'm back from being sick this weekend...

I got Strep-Throat and had 'Mr. Thorough Doctor' he looked at my throat (I had already looked at it) and said he wouldn't put me on anti-biotics unless I tested positive..so he had his person come do a culture..even she looked at my throat and asked if he'd seen it...

So, anyway had to wait 24 hours for it to come back positive...and they put me on 2000 mg of penicillin a day -- does that seem a bit much to anyone???

Feeling better and have Finals this week...Tonights final is for Computer Ethics...

***I should be studying, but seriously what fun would that be???****

I haven't given this class the attention it deserves, but it's hard to when there is really no interaction and the teaching style is not one you like...ughhhh

Anywho..I guess I'll go work on my cheat sheet right now..

It's been a L.O.N.G. week here at Casa ala Moore. The kids are still home on Christmas vacation (seriously Christmas is over--can't they go back to school yet??) Kat is still in bed SICK!!!! However I must admit that the absence of teenage hormones these past few days has been nice.

It's the most wonderful time of the year...I love it..CHRISTMAS is here. It's actually the first Christmas in FOREVER that I feel like celebrating. (Just ask my checkbook)~ Scrooge, errr I mean Steven, is not...might be because I've been spending like it's D-Day. (sooo not kidding there).

So, do you have your Christmas shopping done?? Mine is, well except for the little things I've been picking up here and there....

that is what we bought Kat for Christmas, but (and here's the funny secret here)...Steven has been using the camera since..oh HALLOWEEN..because Liz accidentally dropped ours off the plane last summer and the lens broke..(I did buy a new one and it's on the way)..

TOW: I Break My Foot

Isn't it pretty??? Yep it was!! I got to go to the real German
doctor and get some real neat German drugs...YAY ME!!!

Here's my story (and I'm sticking to it!!)

I volunteered to be the Outdoor Food chair at our Fall Bazaar (felt more like winter to me), it was a pain in my *** or better yet a pain in my foot.

One of my 'duties' was to set up outdoor food tents with tables and benches..Well in the setting up of the tables and benches I dropped said table on my foot. It hurt!!! I went to the EMS tent when it first happened and they said I was fine so I walked around on it for about an hour or so..it really started to hurt so I went ot talk to my friends and they looked at it and said it looked broken..Called the EMS people again and I was sent to the hospital..My knight in shining armor CARRIED me to the car and we went to the German doctor...The German doctor was so nice and FAST!!! They also gave me some great drugs..(which I thought was ibuprofen until I felt really warm and fuzzy).

Well, Steven wasn't happy that I still went back to the bazaar and finished my duties and helped out where I could because I felt I needed to!!! (the German drugs were helping too)

So I'm 'supposed' to be on a pair of crutches now, but I can't walk on them so I'm just well doing what I can until my foot starts to hurt and then I sit down and rest (I might be milking it a bit also...just saying) Just kidding Steven!!!

I HATE this time of year...the changing from nice to chilly to cold to nice to cold to chilly to nice..well I'm sure you get the picture here.

SLACKER--Update

Ok I'm a slacker I admit it...I'm sorry for (fill in excuse here) blah blah blah..How about we just go straight to a little update.

~~ I'm potty training Connor this week...Wow he's a stinker...It's more like who's more stubborn around here..(he's winning)...He will go only when he wants to. So I set a timer and EVERY thirty minutes its to the potty for us..He's the ONLY kid I've ever met that pees on command.

Whew!!!!

Boy sometimes you just get busy!!! When do you know too much is too much???? When you fall from exhaustion? When the kids think their life is to 'go to meetings'? I think I'm about there. I don't have a 'real' job per say but I do volunteer ALOT apparently. Why, you ask?? because if I had to stay home I'd go C.R.A.Z.Y. (Maybe I'm already there!!) What exactly do I volunteer at?? Well let's go there..

1) OCSC (for you civilians--Officer's Civilian Spouses Club--think ladies who lunch ;) ) --I do the newsletter...not too much about once a month I put it together and another day I edit and pitch it in people's mailboxes.

2) Bazaar Board--Outdoor Food Chair...We have a bazaar every year--this year I'm the outdoor food chair..I'm responsible for the outdoor food vendors..make sure everything works..blah blah blah..blah blah blah...I only did this because someone said it was 'easy'..LIARS...or should I say I've got SUCKER written on my forehead!!

AHHH life is BACK to NORMAL!!

Steven went back to work today...(Can I get a big YAY from the crowd??...only me well ok..)

I tell you I seriously NEEDED him to get the hell out of the house and leave me alone go back to work.

Yesterday no kidding...he was on my LAST nerve (one I didn't even know I had..but he was ON it!!!) he would talk and it was like someone would take their nails to the chalkboard. My skin would crawl, I'd have goosebumps up and down my body, and I would physically CRINGE!@!!!

Now don't get me wrong...I love the man, but too much time together does not do good things to us..He was trying to ASSERT HIS AUTHORITY (anyone hear Cartman from South Park there???) in this house the whole time he was home. From the I know how to do laundry (and why isn't it done every day?? but boy can he make the whites white!!) to the fighting with Katherine...

All in all....I would've had to be bailed out if he'd stayed home ANY longer..

Now back to 'real' life around here...

I love the military life...seriously I do, but..All my friends are leaving me this next month...EVERY FLIPPIN ONE OF THEM. How the flip can they do this to me?? Who am I going to gossip with??? go to lunch or dinner with??

I'm going to be one lonely bugger here. I know I know..put myself out there and find new friends but it's really hard at this base...everyone around here is clicked and the people in Steven's peer group generally have no kids, so for us to go somewhere we'd have to find a babysitter and well need I remind anyone how expensive that is??? Heck Katherine..the fruit of my very own loins...charges me $3. an hour and REMINDS me of how cheap she is and how very nice she is to be doing this for me...(Extortionist!!!!!)

I do alot around the base, but I feel the people I come into contact with aren't 'real' friends...

I'm so depressed right now..It hit me at the Air Force Ball on Saturday night when I was looking around and seeing all the people with their friends, taking pictures, dancing, having fun and I had NOONE...NOONE wanted to take a picture with me...noone wanted me to dance with them...NOONE..

First Day of school

School Diary: Day 3--3 people 3!!!

This a.m. we had our firsts 'i'm sick'..blah blah blah..it went like this:

Kat: Mom my stomach hurts.

Me: Uh-huh go eat!!!

(ten minutes later)

Kat: Mom my stomach still hurts.

Me: Your going to school unless you're dead.

Kat: I might be soon

Me: find your shoes and get out!!

(ten minutes later)

Kat: I can't find my other shoe.

Me: Jeez..just wear mine that's what you do anyway.

Kat: Can you drive me to school I'm going to be late

Me: No..run..

Kat: You know your shoes don't run..that's what you said.

So, it starts the 'i don't feel well'....last year I was quick to give in..this year she's going to school until the nurse calls me to come get her.

Ahhh TV I miss you so!!

Here I am going through my 5 15 channels of television...woohoo a whole 15!!! And there is nothing on but CRAP!!! I got to thinking of how when I was in the states I was addicted watched a lot of television. I miss good TV. I miss commercials...yes I do...Here we have AFN commercials and I do consider myself an EXPERT on things such as:

Katherine started school again today (GRADE 7) and Lizzie went to Kindergarten orientation. Wow, I'm getting old and just where did the time go I'd like to know??

I am so tired though...we went to Katherine's school (all day flippin long) so I could see her classes and meet her teachers..(ok I really didn't care, but I had to be there anyway as the president of the PTSA...yes I'm a SUCKER!!)

Anywho..I'm trying to ebay the kids some halloween outfits now..They however are ANGRY that I didn't win some.....Lord have mercy what do they want me to do?? Pay $100 per costume?? (don't answer that I'm sure I know the answer to that one)

So, Dilemma of the Day:

Kat (trying to help me) buys something off of ebay and pays for it out of my paypal acct...the people she bought from charged 85.90 shipping to get it to me...

I cancelled and put a stop payment on the payment ($29.00--came out of her allowance) and wrote the seller requesting they NOT send it to me and told them I cancelled the payment...they shipped anyways...

SO, what do I do when it gets here?? return to sender...keep it and donate it to the church for them trying to **** people up the yim-yang on shipping???

Back in the States Again

Well, my bloggy friends~~ I decided after the last couple of weeks I had that I needed a 'mental health break' so I hopped back to the states (Space A) and am here in the nice HOT weather now. I plan to do a couple of beach days and well some other things while I am here..

Let me tell you about Space A travel though..it's not for the faint of heart.

We sat in the terminal in Ramstein for 3 days trying to get out. We got on one plane to Dover (Delaware) and the plane broke. So, we were bumped. Finally the third day we got on a plane to McGuire (New Jersey). We were on a C-17 Cargo plane that was full of cargo and we sat on the jump seats. The kids were B.O.R.E.D. and you know what happens when my kids get bored...Hell ensued. They stayed awake for 8 hours of the 9 hour flight. I finally got to sleep for about an hour. Then when we landed we hopped a shuttle to Philly airport and rented a car.

I spent 12 hours of a car trip yelling at Connor to get back in his seat and put his damn seatbelt on.

Gotta love space-A however because it was FREE. FREE. FREE.

OK must go to Wally-World for now..Boy do I love~love~love that place.

When It Rains It Pours..

Noah came over with some animals today...

Why? Well it seems my house was under 3 inches of water and he thought it was the ark.

Seems my kids (or possibly one of the kids in the apt. above us) threw a washcloth, a diaper and a thing of makeup down the drain and it all backed up into MY house.

Lucky me...

I have sucked up no less than 12 buckets of water on my machine..plus the huge one housing maintenance sucked up with theirs..

My Tequila: Well, I was going to mop the floors anyhow..so I ran around and threw some Lysol on the floor when we were getting the water off...

Off to do more laundry now..since EVERY towel, sheet, and or piece of clothes I could find in the house is wet...

So, I call they say..well be out between sunup and sundown 600 days from now.

I have a little problem here friends. I mean how many times is the neighboorhood going to see my tata's??? The kids' I mean..

First Time: I was taking a shower, singing Fergalicious, having a good ole time...you know- one where you got to shower by yourself..and I look up and notice that there are about 7 heads outside my shower...I ONLY HAVE 3 KIDS..where did these extra heads come from??? stick my head out and there are the neighboorhood kids...deciding now is the EXACT time to ask me if they can have a popsicle...Lucky me my shower is beveled otherwise they would've seen more than they wanted to I Promise!!!!

Second time: Last night I was getting ready for bed and looked up when 4 little boys from the neighborhood were looking in my window and said..no kidding "Hi Ms. Becky"..yep you got it they all got a look at the tata's..Probably was fine as I'm about as developed as a 13 year old girl. But anywho, these kids were out at 8:30 ON A SCHOOL NIGHT..So, when someone's mother come's to my door..I'll make sure to inform said woman that 8:30 on a school night is a bit late for the little boogers to be out and looking in my window is probably not cool either..

Well, the semester is at an end..well at least it's the part of the semester that you have to turn in the 'big' paper or project.

I just turned in a 6 page philosophy paper...MY topic you ask??? Why retroactive birth control is moral and ethical...NO you don't believe me? Well..Ok it was how the 'don't ask, don't tell' policy is morally wrong.

Tales of a Teenage Drama Queen.

Gotta love em when they are teenagers, I tell you...Ok sometimes not..but we are supposed too..

I have the ORIGINAL drama queen my friends...12 years old and a drama queen..so much so today she accused me of *child abuse*..Yes I am an Abuser...at least if an abuser does such things like:

~~ expect her to do her chores..and the *gasp* first time I ask

~~ expect her to do her homework.

~~ expect her not to talk back...

~~ expect no lying and stealing.

~~ expect well nothing else..gosh she's right I am sooooo mean..probably deserve that mean mother award...Toni you can sent that over anytime you want.

So, what may you ask preceded this *child abuse* charge. Well...she actually went to school and cried and told the teachers I slap her and pull her hair...

BUT WAIT she told two different teachers two entirely different stories. OH yes...HELLO rule number one..stick to one story....

Anyhow there I was called and told I had to go to family advocacy..(again...) and I called family advocacy and told them straight up.."If I couldn't discipline my daughter and she could throw around any old accusation then I was packing her shit and bringing her to them..." Yes I DID..

Did I make her pack her bag: Your damn tootin I did...this is a power struggle if SHE thinks she is going to win..she is sadly mistaken..

What happened at family advocacy you ask??? Well, he (the counselor) got that she was a drama queen and basically said I had to not help her with her drama..blah, blah, blah..and that he felt she was a difficult child...I wanted to say "you think????"

Then he brought both of us together and basically told her I was the mother and she was the child...PERIOD.FINITO.END OF SENTENCE and she needed to listen to what I said and do what I told her too.

VINDICATION is so sweet my bloggy friends...

Confession time here: I soooo want to pull her hair and slap her so she knows what it feels like though..but instead I'll go take a HOT bath and eat a candy bar.

I knew it was going to be a B.A.D. day from the time I woke up (was woken up rather rudely--I'll have you know) by Lizzie who turned on my light at 5 (flippin) thirty this morning with a "mommy you've slept enough"...I said No my dear I haven't come watch TV in mommy's room...

From there it went something like this:

~~Wake up and realize wow my back hurts, my throat hurts, my ears are ringing..Oh SHIT I think I'm getting sick..I don't have time to get sick...grab two aspirin and pretend I feel fine...

~~Go to the post office to send a box to Steven and OF COURSE they were out of boxes, tape,etc..so I had to go get said items..


~~Go get said items and my total at checkout was $6.66 (no kidding..) now I'm not superstitious but HELLO even I'm not going to mess with that one..quick grab another candy bar (like I needed another candy bar)

~~OH yeah and my house looks like *ASS right now..I need to clean and I don't feel good...OH AND NO CHOCOLATE IN THE DAMN HOUSE...

Spotlight Sunday

In my Spotlight for today is Kristin of Motherhood Uncensored
. She probably doesn't need me to spotlight her as she's one of the 'biggies' in the blogging world. She's an Air Force Spouse living with her in-laws (oh girl I do not envy you) and has two young kids. She talks about everything on her blog and I do mean EVERYTHING..

To Make or Not to Make that is the Question?

Another post about Katherine..anyone seeing a pattern here???

See she is in Civil Air Patrol and doesn't really want to do it anymore...I'm not actually sure she wanted to do it in the first place...I think her father did and she wanted to make daddy happy.

I asked her her reasons for not wanting to do it and they were:

1) Daddy's not here..no sense in it.

2) I can't have pink hair...(oh yeah that was a selling point for me)

3) But MOMMMMMMMM.....

So, here the question became...

Is it because there really aren't any girls in it...it's all boys..

Do you not want to do it because you...gasp....have to run and be active?

Do you not want to do it because you have to study for tests....(and we ALL know school isn't her strong suit)

Do you not want to do it because you'd rather laze around the house???

Now, we know me I'm all about not taking her...I don't have to go to the place (about 30 minutes away) and stay there for 2 1/2 hours finding something for the younger ones to do while waiting on her. Heck, I'd rather stay home and clean watch TV also....but she did promise her father a year..and it hasn't been that..

Oh what to do ....what to do.....

The Curse

You know the one I'm talking about...The one every mother gives to their offspring when we are being exceptionally bad...

'I hope you have one just like you'

See, I knew my mother was a witch for a long time..it wasn't just the evil eye, the seeing what I was doing around corners, the way she was able to look at me when I came in and know I had been up to something. It was her ability to turn her head around three times and puke green (oh wait that may have been the excorcist...anyways...)

Her curse has come true..according to her at least..

She says Kat gets her mouth and attitude from me..I don't remember being this mouthy when I was younger..I'm sure IF I had I would've been knocked into next week -- or my teeth would've been knocked out of my head.

She says I didn't like to clean either..but I did..oh did I...again..If I was as lazy as her I would've been knocked clear into next week..(do we see a pattern emerging here?) Heck I don't like to clean now but it's not like I ask her to do much..a little cleaning every day..goes a long way..

As for Lizzie and Connor..if that was anyone's curse it was Steven's...I was NEVER that bad..I'm telling you...

Anyhow...how's that curse working out for you?

Monday Monday

Oh did I mention it was monday yet???

Let's see where were we??? Oh yep Monday.

The weekend was ok here...went to a kids party at 'happyland' on Sat...kids enjoyed it. Mom was unconditionally bored.

Sunday went to church..It was a nice service.

Boy am I B.O.R.I.N.G. seriously

Well, that's a toothbrush down the drain..Connor seems to think my toothbrush is the ideal thing to brush his feet, toes, chest and ummmm male parts..lucky me...

Forgive Me

Forgive me my bloggy friends for I have sinned:

I haven't been on here lately because I've been having a pity party for one. You see my friends..Steven has left for FOUR freaking months to the sandbox..and left me with the devil's spawn.

They are already starting awful--I mean it can only get better from here on right??? First thing yesterday I asked Lizzie to pick up her toys and put them away and gave her 30 minutes...Did she do it?? OF course not silly's..So, I took them down to the basement and told her I threw them away. (I'll give em back in about two weeks or so.) And Katherine OMG. I asked her to help me by picking up the living room floor so I can start on the 'daddy's gone..let's clean up the house REALLY good while he's not going through my trash bag..insisting he NEEDS this stuff cleaning' and it took her OVER an hour to pick up a small stretch of floor..ughhhh

Then S got to come home for the night and we went to a last dinner with friends and left the kids here..and they went W.I.L.D. No kiddding..Kat was throwing cans of coke off of my balcony because she was "bored" ughhhhh...Grounded already?? I hope that this is their acting up and they'll get better or???

Ok back to pity party..table for one please.

Jennifer is well my sister...She's a mother of two...(and yes Jennifer we CAN trade Ari for Katherine. I'll take Kat back when she's ohhh 18 and if I like her she can stay.) Jennifer is going back to school, umm dealing with the devil..(I mean my mother). And doesn't blog nearly as much as she should..

I.M.M.A.T.U.R.E

So, at what age did your kiddos start babysitting?

Katherine SHOULD be able to babysit now..She's 12 and has taken the Red Cross (required) babysitting course. But, she can't--we have a hard time trusting her to watch herself ...no less her sister and brother (referred to from here on as the demon spawn).

I remember when I was her age I was babysitting like a mofo...all the neighborhood kids. For HOURS UPON HOURS UPON HOURS...I had quite the business. All kinds of money to spend..well, you know the drill

Katherine on the other hand cannot be trusted. She blames it on the demon spawn. I blame it on her immaturity and unability (is that a word??) to keep her nose out of a book or her eyes off the television set for more than oh say 20 seconds and therefore, the demon spawn tend to do things like get into the sugar and throw it ALL OVER THE FLIPPIN KITCHEN, take out EVERY toy they have into the livingroom, TAKE out all the movies out of my cabinets. Well, you get the idea.

She wants me to trust her to watch the demon spawn (I told you I was referring to them as that the rest of the post...don't judge) and be PAID...(Do I seriously have to pay my own child...you know the one I feed, clothe, etc. to do this???) hahatrust?? I'm pretty sure I would come back to Katherine tied (or duct taped) to one of the chairs and the spawn standing over her with a sword.

Chinese Freeze Tag.

I’ll write 10 (hopefully) interesting facts about me and/or habits of mine.

1. I love animals..(almost all of them)and think my house isn't complete until we have at least 2 or 3.

2. I read books A LOT...I can read a normal sized book in a day.

3. I hate hate hate (have I said HATE yet??) Birds..can't stand em..watched Hitchcock's movie 'The Birds' when I was younger and well that did it for me.

4. Sometimes I feel like I can't do anything right and that noone likes me.

5. I graduated high school in England, and now my high school's a psychiatric hospital...no shit..

6. Most of the time I don't like chocolate..I have to be in the mood to actually eat it.

7. I seem very self assured but I have a low self confidence.

8. I don't like psychiatrists or psychologists but that's my major.

9. I am addicted to internet shopping..seriously addicted.

10. Momma say's it's never boring when I'm around..(apparently I'm a hell raiser..go figure)

Stress...

Ok admit it we are all stressed at times. Me more than others since I live with "they who can destroy the house in 30 seconds flat..."...(seriously they can). Add that to the fact I have become 'she who does not know how to say NO to people' and I have a PROBLEM. At least one of my stress factors is gone (bye bye Stats class..) I only have 362 others to take it's place...I ran across this on the internet (or email..who know) the other day and thought hmmm good advice.


The Ten Commandments to a Stress free Life.
1. You shall not be perfect, or even try to be. ~~ Got that one down to a tee..

2. You shall not try to be all things to all people.

3. You shall sometimes leave things undone. ~~Yes and then inevitably some idiot will show up at the house and boom you're a 'dirty person'

4. You shall not spread yourself too thin.

5. You shall learn to say “no”.

6. You shall schedule time for yourself. ~~Yep I'll work on that one...oh but wait in scheduling time for yourself remember babysitting is $5/hr per kid.

7. You shall switch yourself off, and do nothing regularly. ~~ no problemo

8. You shall not even feel guilty for doing nothing, or saying no. ~~even when people give you the 'sad' face.

9. You shall be boring, untidy, inelegant, and unattractive at times. ~~oh yeah I have that one down...seriously if I don't have to get dressed..well you can see where this is going.

10. You shall not be your own worst enemy. But, be your own best friend. ~~Well I have to since I don't have a 'best' friend..shoot sometimes I feel I don't have friends at all
